Overcoming adversity

Having had to look after my parents at an early age I have to overcome a great many adversities along the way. Mainly these adversities are the result of growing up in a low income home. Both my parents are disabled and receive a small pension as a result. If most people out there had an idea of what families of disabled persons receieved to live off of for a month they would not believe it. Furthermore, I was able to achieve my post secondary pursuits but shortly thereafter was faced with an ongoing adversity. Namely being that since I had to return to look after my parents I have been unable to work full time and as a result have been unable to find work in my field. I would give anything to be able to afford a vechile so that I can work in a near by major city. It is this roadblock that has me in a rut to this day. It is most frustrating to realize that you could land a good job and finally be able to help you family but the roadblock in your way is not having a vechile or the money to take a bus or even be able to afford to move to a city that is so close by. I am not going to let this stand in my way. I wanted to share my story with you as I know there are those out there that understand the frustration of such a roadblock. I know there are those out there that have had much more difficult situations to deal with in their lives. I am in no way dismissing this and welcome people to tell me their trials and successes... I am a strong believer in having support. If you have that strength of others behind you ... who knows what adversities one can overcome?
